SERAC- Bangladesh is a Non Government, Non Political Law and development organization. It started life in 1991 with the initiation of a group of educated, dedicated social workers with an aim to promote the socio economic and cultural status of the rural poor and vulnerable people, emphasizing the women and children through capcity building institution building, capital formation and imperting felt need based problem solving programs by adopting modern scientific technologies.
We have been working in Social Development sector in greater Mymensingh with the community through mobilizing them towards a liveable social and economic development stage. The main goal of SERAC-Bangladesh is to make poor people literate and capable to lead life as an eligible member in the society. However in the line of its implementation of objectives, SERAC-Bangladesh has made many substantial contributions to the society by implementing a number of programs on primary and non formal education, Health rights and awareness, tobacco control and NCD awareness, water and sanitation, Capacity Building, Institution building, law and human rights, consumer rights, youth employment, policy advocacy for the targeted people groups.
